Broomhall Recreation Ground Creating Play Provisions for Teenagers Client: Sunningdale Parish Council Address: Broomhall Lane, Sunningdale, SL5 0QS Budget: £25,500 Age Range: 12+ years Project Story Sunningdale wanted to improve play facilities at the central recreation ground by adding in equipment that would be suitable for teenagers. Currently, the equipment they had in place was only suitable for toddlers and they did not want teenagers to miss out. Proludic who specialise in providing exciting and challenging equipment that aims to engage teenagers were unanimously picked for the project and aided Sunningdale with the consultation process. The Proludic design team decided to use equipment from the Dynamic Sports range which aims to replicate exhilarating sensations from extreme sports such as rock climbing and windsurfing. Crucially it also engaged both teenage girls and boys alike. Fitness equipment has also been included, allowing adults and teenagers to keep fit in the outdoors. The site was installed in March 2007 and has been a huge success. The new teen provision area has made a huge difference to young adults within the area. The park is very highly regarded and continues to be well used by the residents. - Anne Martin, Parish Clerk, Sunningdale Parish Council
