Greville Smyth Park Reducing Anti-Social Behaviour Client: Bristol City Council Address: Ashton Road, Ashton, Bristol, BS3 2EA Budget: £26,000 Age Range: Teenagers Project Story Greville Smyth Park in Bristol had fallen into disrepair due to anti-social behaviour and frequent acts of vandalism. Following a public consultation, it was decided that the area would benefit from the Dynamic range of equipment from Proludic Sports. Dynamic provides a challenging and robust solution that engages teenage children and provides them with an area they can call their own. The site has been open to the public since 2005 and has had a fantastic response from the teenagers and young adults using it. More importantly, acts of vandalism within the park and anti-social behaviour incidents have declined dramatically. Since the installation of the new equipment, a PSO has been relocated elsewhere in the city. The area is now very much a popular and thriving park in Bristol that the surrounding communities all love. After Before The play area is now thriving with the young people of Bristol using it to have fun the very purpose for which it was intended. - Jill Batten, Play Support Officer, Bristol City Council

Providing children and teenagers with activity and fitness facilities such as MUGAs, Dynamic equipment, outdoor gyms and workout areas gives them opportunities to improve their fitness as well as prviding them with a safe place which benefits the whole community.
